A prototype Lamborghini Aventador with styling influenced from the Lamborghini Huracan Performante has been spied recently. Although Lamborghini launched the Aventador S recently with the likes of upgraded brakes, rear wheel steering and even more power, this new V12 powered beast seems to have gone in the direction of extreme aero as compared to more power. The hardcore Aventador will also possibly be the last iteration of the supercar with a new V12 Lambo expected to make a debut in the next couple of years. Although the last iteration of all Lamborghini V12s have always been called the SV, this time around, the Italian automaker might use a new nomenclature as they have already used the SV moniker earlier as the last version of the pre-facelift version.

The Ministry Of Petroleum And Natural Gas announced today that BS6 fuel might be available in Delhi from April 1, 2018. The NCR area in general, which will include the likes of Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad is set to receive the BS6 fuel by April 1, 2019. The fuel roll out will happen ahead of the rollout of BS6 nationally which will take place on April 1, 2020. While most automakers are on track to meet the original deadline set by the government for BS6 rollout, some have reacted mentioning how the fuel rollout might not really have any real impact on the pollution levels that have plagued most of north India these last few weeks. The question many are asking us though is simple. What happens if you put BS6 fuel in a BS4 car, or but BS4 fuel in a BS6 car?

Twenty Two Motors is a year-old start up company which makes electric two-wheelers. The company unveiled its first ever electric scooter concept called the Flow. The Flow will be launched at the 2018 Auto Expo and will be priced around Rs. 65,000 to Rs. 70,000.

The new battery offers high- energy density and the ultra-rapid recharging required for automotive applications, and will give a compact electric vehicle (EV) with a drive range of 320km after only 6 minutes of ultra-rapid rechargingthree times the distance possible with current lithium-ion batteries.

Taking current technology into consideration, the Lithium-Ion battery is the only realistic solution to power electric cars amongst other electronic devices. With ranges quickly exceeding the 500 km range on one charge, the Lithium-Ion battery does serve the purpose it needs to by powered the electric motors in a car. That said, they are quite expensive and the battery pack is without a shadow of doubt the most expensive component in any electric car today. While research into super capacitors and hydrogen fuel cells have been progressing quickly, the immediate relief in terms of a big price drop is a new Sodium-Ion battery technology

Going a step further, or should I say higher, in its quest for becoming the coolest city, Dubai Police has announced that it will be adding Hoverbikes to its fleet, a first globally. The announcement was made at the Gulf Information Technology Exposition (GITEX), the biggest technology expo in the Gulf region, and the Hoverbikes will be added as a first responder vehicle.

Polestar, formerly an inbuilt division for Volvo makingperformance variants,and now an independent automaker that will make performance electric cars based on Volvo design and chassis, has showcased it's first ever car - the 'Polestar 1'. The Polestar 1 will be an hybrid performance car that will be built in a new purpose built factory in China alongside two other cars that Polestar will showcase soon. The Polestar 1 will have an electric motor along with a set of electric batteries along with a turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine that will power the car.
