It's been a year worth remembering in the motorsport industry and that's because there's a lot happening. While some things remain unchanged like the F1 Champion is still a Mercedes driver (a different one though), there was good news when we heard that Michael Schumacher's health is improving. In a shocker to the motorsport world and fans alike, the newest Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg has announced his retirement from the sport with immediate effect. Speaking at the of Friday's FIA prize giving gala, Rosberg said, "I want to take the opportunity to announce that I have decided to end my Formula 1 career in this moment here."

The provisional calendar for the 2017 World Superbike Championship has been announced and is all set to commence at Phillip Island, Australia from February 24. The new season will also see a change in its schedule compared to this year with Jerez and Sepang being dropped from the calendar and Portimao being added. The organisers are yet to announce the track for WSBK's penultimate round.
