Triumph has finalised a deal to supply engines to the Moto2 class when the current deal with Honda ends in 2018, latest reports indicate. According to Bike Sport News, the deal has now been signed with Dorna and Triumph is set to become the new official engine supplier for Moto2 from 2019.

The Dakar Rally 2017 has reached Bolivia and the harsh weather conditions ensured that Stage 5 was far too dangerous for participants. Stage 4 of the Dakar Rally 2017 saw Hero MotoSports team lead the Indian contingent with Joaquim Rodrigues finishing 12th, while CS Santosh despite navigational challenges and rough terrain finished 77th, up by 27 places. In a major disappointment for Indian motorsport fans, Aravind KP from team Sherco TVS is out of the Dakar Rally 2017. Aravind who made his Dakar debut only this year, had a crash 40 km into Stage 3 of the rally damaging his right shoulder seriously. This, in addition to yesterday's crash that left him with a broken wrist, made it extremely difficult for the Bangalore boy to continue.

It was Day 2 of the world's most difficult race - Dakary Rally 2017 and the Indian contingent - Sherco TVS and Hero MotoSport Speedbrain managed to complete the day with their share of highs and lows. Stage 2 saw Hero riders Joaquim Rodrigues and CS Santosh showed steady pace while TVS witnessed a major setback as Aravind KP injured his hand breaking two bones, but was able to finish the stage.
