Easily one of the finest finishes to a race this MotoGP season, Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso won the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring, as Honda's Marc Marquez put up a spectacular fight in the closing stages. The reigning world champion was right at the tail of the Ducati rider with Dovizioso crossing the chequered flag just 0.176 seconds ahead of Marquez.

The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) will be announcing a new representative from India to the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) in October this year. Speaking to Carandbike.com on the sidelines of the JK Tyre NRC Round 2, FMSCI - President, Akbar Ebrahim said that the new member will be elected during the final council meeting this October and will commence his term from December 2017.

The 20th edition of the JK-Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship has a host of categories including motorcycle racing for the first time this year. Round 2 saw Mumbai's Nayan Chatterjee and Hyderabad's Anindith Reddy scorch the track on Day 1 winning one race each in the highly competitive Euro JK 17 category.

The 2017 MRF FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) kick-started in Coimbatore last weekend and Team Mahindra Adventure with Gaurav Gill with co-driver Musa Sherif behind the wheel stormed into lead from the first stage.

Gurmeet Virdi and Kirpal Singh Tung from Team Gerrari Off-roaders win the 2017 edition of the Rainforest Challenge India. They will be participating at the RFC Global Series 2017 Finale which will be held in Malaysia later in the year.

Abt Schaeffler Audi Sport driver Lucas di Grassi has been crowned as the 2016-17 FIA Formula E World Champion. di Grassi finished a solid seventh place in the Montreal ePrix, raking up the much need points to dethrone title contender Sebastian Buemi, while Mahindra's Felix Rosenqvist took a podium finish in the season's final race, finishing third in the driver standings.

The adrenaline levels are certainly running this weekend as the MRF FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) is back for the 2017 season and will kick start on 30th July 2017. This year's edition will bring the country's best rallyists taking the wheel to traverse some of the most difficult terrains as they battle for the top honours and the ultimate win.
