Marc Marquez secured a hard fought win against Pramac Ducati's Danilo Petrucci in San Marino Grand Prix at Misano, securing his fourth MotoGP win this season. The Repsol Honda rider tackled the wet track with ease as he battled for the top spot against Petrucci as well as Ducati Andrea Dovizioso, who took up the last place on the podium.

The next-generation racing engine for the FIM Moto2 World Championship is based on the new 765 cc in-line three-cylinder engine used in the new-gen Street Triple. The Moto2TM 2019 season race engine development programme was conducted last week with the second track test at the Ciudad del Motor de Aragon.

Valentino Rossi will end up missing the upcoming San Marino GP at the Misano Circuit in Italy. The Movistar Yamaha rider will most likely also miss the next MotoGP round at Aragon, Spain.

Mercedes-Petronas dominated in the land of Ferrari as Lewis Hamilton dominated the Italian Grand Prix. The Briton managed to beat Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel amidst a TIFOSI audience, with teammate Valtteri Bottas finishing second. The back-to-back victories have helped consolidate Mercedes' lead in the constructors' standings, while this is for the first time this season that Hamilton has stepped in the world championship lead, ahead of Vettel.

All set to make India proud at the Road to MotoGP series in Spain, North Eastern boy Lalhruaizela has bagged the ticket in the second edition of the Red Bull Road to Rookie cup. The Mizoram boy led the points table, having consistently finished second in almost every race of the championship.

If recent reports coming out of Monza are to be believed, the Sauber F1 team is expected to make a key announcement about its future sometime this week, after the ongoing Italian Grand Prix. The Swiss outfit could make an announcement about introducing its new driver for 2018, but the rumour of being re-branded as Alfa Romeo, is what has got us really interested.
