Mahindra Racing will go all guns blazing into Season 4 of the FIA Formula E World Championship and has re-signed race car drivers Nick Heidfeld and Felix Rosenqvist. The next season of the electric racing series will commence from December 2017 to July 2018 with the first race scheduled in Hong Kong.

Aprilia has introduced Augmented Reality helmets with a thermal camera and head-up display for its pit crew. Recently, it was mandated that the pit crew of all MotoGP teams will have to compulsorily wear helmets.

Amidst the McLaren-Honda split and the subsequent partnership announcements made earlier today; Torro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz Jr has also been confirmed to make his way to Renault Sport F1 team for the 2018 season. However, the 23-year-old will be on loan from Red Bull to Renault for a single year and will partner with Nico Hulkenberg for the next season.

The mega switch is finally official with McLaren-Honda announcing that it will part ways at the end of this season. This has really set the ball rolling for a host of other announcements that we were eagerly waiting for. The 2018 season will see McLaren sourcing power unit from Renault F1, while Honda will get a chance at redemption as it will be supplying engines to Torro Rosso.
