Man Turns to Crowdfunding for Wrecked Ferrari 458 Speciale's Repair Costs
Crowdfunding is undoubtedly an extremely helpful medium to ease the process of achieving one's dreams, or avail help in times of need. But never had we heard about crowdfunding being used to repair a car - not till today. This curious story involves a German entrepreneur turning to the masses to help restore his 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale that he recently wrecked at the Nurburgring.

Jonas Frey crashed the 562bhp Ferrari into a retaining wall whilst lapping the Nurburgring, and was left with generous damage to its front. The estimated repair bill is said to be in the north of $230,000. This is how Frey came up with the idea of crowdfunding the repair while offering a rather peculiar reward in return: a picture of the donor's choosing on the car's hood, chassis, or bumper. Long story short, €3.99/cm2 is all it will take for interested folks to have their picture on the beast.

Did we tell you Frey has christened the aforementioned project 'The Dead Ferrari'?

Furthermore, if 50,000 folks participate in the project, one of them stands a chance to drive the Ferrari for a month. However, if the winner is not in Europe, they will be given a $5,000 rental car voucher instead. In Mr Frey's words, "This is your chance to have 5,000+ people see your picture every day!"
