Electric Two-wheeler start-up, Ather Energy has put its international sales plan on hold for now, due to the current COVID-19 crisis. The company believes it will be a better use of energy to expand in India in a holistic way.

Electric two-wheeler start-up Ather Energy targets sales of one million units in the next five years, and scaling up operations across 100 cities.

Ather Energy will begin deliveries of its electric scooters in Delhi-NCR November 2020 onwards. The focus of the company will be on expansion in India and Ather is poised for the same, with production beginning at its new plant from December 2020.

Hero MotoCorp holds a 34.58 per cent stake in Ather Energy, but could reportedly assume control with a larger investment. Ather's co-founder Tarun Mehta, however, had this to say.

TVS Motor Company has announced that it has invested an amount of Rs. 30 crore in Ultraviolette, which is an EV startup. Ultraviolette unveiled its F77 electric motorcycle last year and claims it to be India's first high-performance electric motorcycle.

As part of the partnership, EV Motors will integrate its hi-tech batteries with Hero Electric's e-bikes to offer last mile delivery solutions.

Garelli has been revived in 2018 as a manufacturer of electric scooters and bicycles, with dealerships across Europe.

Deliveries of the MonoRacer 130E enclosed electric motorcycle are expected to begin in Europe from September 2020.
