2014 Was a Record Year for Ferrari at Auctions

A record for amassing over $140 million at auctions throughout the year. That's more than Rs 900 crore for 9 legendary Ferraris to be precise. This record feat includes a bid of $38.115 million for a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO - which is the highest bid for a car at a public auction. Then there was also the $1.3 billion for sales in the United States.
The second highest bid after that for the 1962 250 GTO was for the 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale; it went under the hammer for $26.4 million. This was followed by the 1954 Ferrari 375-Plus Spider Competizione, which was sold for $18.4 million. The complete list of Ferraris auctioned this year also included Steve McQueen's 1967 Ferrari GTB/4, which was sold for $10.175 million.
