Volkswagen On the inside, the cabin now gets rear AC vents, making the Polo, the second hatchback in the segment after the Hyundai i20 to boast that feature. You also get adjustable driver side armrest, new upholstery with striping in the centre and aluminium finished pedals for a sporty look.

Mechanically, the Volkswagen Polo AllStar edition remains the same and continues to draw power from the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options, but won't available on the Polo GT TSI and TDI versions. The standard versions come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and remain one of the more driver friendly cars in the segment.

Volkswagen India has been working on updating the Polo and Vento models in the country for a while now and we expect the slightly facelifted versions to roll out in the following months. Going by the previous spy shots, the new model will come equipped with LED DRLs, new touchscreen infotainment unit with MirrorLink feature, while the rear AC vents from the AllStar edition can be retained as well. For now Volkswagen has updated the 1.5-litre diesel variant of the Vento with the Ameo's EA189 engine that makes an increased power of 108bhp. The same 108bhp, 1.5-litre engine is also being offered in the newly launched Skoda Rapid facelift.
