Skoda Auto has released the first interior sketch of its upcoming compact SUV for the Indian market, which will be previewed as the Vision IN concept at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020. The all-new compact SUV will be built on the all-new MQB A0 IN platform, and it will be the first product of the Skoda's India 2.0 project.

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India will launch its first product based on the MQB A0 IN platform in the second quarter (Q2) of 2021. The news was confirmed by Zac Hollis Director - Sales, Service and Marketing, Skoda Auto India, who announced the launch timeline while replying to a Twitter user's question regarding Skoda's upcoming cars as part of India 2.0 project.

Auto giants Skoda and Volkswagen have planned an SUV onslaught for next year and the manufacturers will bring a range of new offerings to the Auto Expo before launching the models in the following months. Now, we have more details on one of the launches from Skoda and this is none other than the Karoq SUV that will go on sale in April next year. The launch timeline was confirmed by Zac Hollis Director - Sales, Service and Marketing, Skoda Auto India. The Skoda Karoq will be initially brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), Hollis confirmed and will be offered with only a petrol engine at the time of launch.

Images of a near-production Tata Gravitas SUV have recently surfaced online. The car was spotted testing wearing crash test orange body wrap, with production-ready parts and panels intact. In fact, we can even see the Tata logo under the wrapping. Based on the Tata Harrier, the global version of the new 7-seater full-size SUV, Buzzard was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show this year, so we expect the India-spec model to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, in February.

The sketch shows us the profile and partly the rear of the SUV which still has the GLA design elements intact, but looks a dash more modern and angular.
