The German carmaker is finally doing a feasibility study for the EQ range in India and is looking at it as a potential product in the future. "We do the feasibility studies because we have to think of the future. The feasibility study is done for our entire portfolio. And the same happens now for the battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, we look into which models could be appealing to the customers, we look into where we think is the momentum developing and based on that we also start assessing our options. So it's not that we wait and see, we look into the options by evaluating and that's happening right now," Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India told carandbike.

It's just been a few days since Hyundai India officially teased its upcoming QXI subcompact SUV and now we've caught it testing on the outskirts of Delhi. The company had already said that the next mountain to conquer for the QXi will be quite literally, the Aravalli mountain range which originates from the southern part of Delhi and ends in Gujarat. The new Porsche Taycan will be driven by two permanent synchronous electric motors that will churn out 600 bhp and the high voltage lithium-ion batteries powering the motors have enough juice for 500 kms. The motors would also store the energy and charge the batteries during deceleration or lateral movements which at times can drive the car without actually using the batteries. It will take under 3.5 seconds for the Porsche Taycan to do a 0-100 kmph sprint and through fast charging, it will just take four minutes to top it up for 100 km.

The new BMW 3 Series is 55 kg lighter than its predecessor and looks far edgier. The spy pictures have only revealed the side and rear of the car. The rear now looks even more sculpted and the sleek tail lamp units go quite well with the overall design. The side too looks sharp yet unexaggerated sporting a pronounced profile line. The Indian-spec model is likely to remain identical to the global model in terms of dimension and has grown in size. The new BMW 3 Series is 76 mm longer at 4709 mm, 16 mm wider at 1827 mm and stands 1 m taller at 1441 mm. The wheelbase too has increased by 41 mm at 2851 mm. The wheels in the spy pictures are too the same 19-inchers which run the global model.

The Renault RBC (codename) has a wider facade compared to the Renault Kwid making space for a wider three-slat grille. Up front, the bumperis beefier sporting a wider central air-dam and taller fog lamp housing. The side of the Renault RBC is highly unrelated from the Kwid. For starters, the wheel arches in this one are circular, unlike the squarish ones on the Kwid and obviously cover larger wheels which look 16-inchers. The hood line on the side too is rising and the shoulder line looks more pronounced. The Renault MPV is significantly taller than the Kwid and has a broad window frame which should make the cabin feel bright and spacious, quite similar to Renault's only MPV sold in India- the Lodgy. Though a limited section of the rear is visible, the sleek wraparound tail lamp and a wide license plate area are apparent. We also expect this upcoming MPV to be wider at the rear in a bid to make room for the third-row seating.
