Highlights

  • The Tata Tigor Buzz will be based on the XM trim
  • It will get a few cosmetic updates
  • The petrol and diesel engine options remain the same

Tata is known to launch special edition variants of its cars. A year ago, Tata launched the Tiago Wizz special edition and now spyshots of the Tata Tigor Buzz edition have surfaced on the internet which means that Tata could soon launch the car in India. The Tigor Buzz edition will most probably be launched before the JTP edition of the Tigor. The Tata Tigor Buzz will have only cosmetic updates. From what we can see in the pictures, the Tigor Buzz edition gets gloss black roof, gloss black ORVM covers, a 'Buzz' badge at the rear and red accents on the grille and the wheel covers.

Inside, the Tigor Buzz gets red highlights on the AC vents and on the seat cover fabric as well. The Tigor Buzz edition will be based on the mid-spec XM trim of the regular Tigor. Tata will offer the Buzz edition on both petrol and diesel engine variants. The prices for the Tata Tigor XM spec are Rs. 5.20 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs. 6.05 lakh for the diesel variant. Expect Tata to command a small premium for the Tigor Buzz editions over the regular prices of the car.

The Tata Tigor has been somewhat of a slow-seller as opposed to the high-selling Tiago. Launching a special edition variant could probably rake in more sales numbers for Tata Motors. The Tata Tigor Buzz will continue to get a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 83 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque while the Tigor diesel gets a 1.05-litre 3-cylinder engine that makes 68 bhp and 140 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Tata also offers an AMT gearbox on the Tigor.
