Speaking with carandbike, Shailesh Chandra - President, Passenger Vehicles Division, Tata Motors said, "In the last two months we have seen a steep increase in the demand for Tata Nexon EV, it has gone up by two times. So demand is not an issue anymore, it's about supplies. Here also semiconductors have kind of been a spoilsport, while we're pretty much capable in terms of capacity. Once the semiconductor supply ramps up and we have taken certain actions on that, you'll see very different numbers on EVs. So the curve is exponential in terms of how the demand is growing. Nexon diesel is a very successful car and we're getting bookings equal to the diesel, but we might be supplying only one-third of that. It is only a matter of time, when we'll be able to service the demand. So it has seen a very deep penetration."
