Suzuki V-Strom 650 And V-Strom 1000 To Get GT Packs Internationally

Suzuki will be offering GT packs on its V-Strom range, internationally. The GT pack includes a three piece luggage set which are the top-box and the side panniers. The range itself gets a few upgrades for the 2017 model variants.

Suzuki is all set to offer a GT pack on its V-Strom 650 and V-Strom 1000 in international markets. The GT pack consists of a three piece luggage set which are the top box and the side panniers, with a total capacity of 64 litres. The GT pack is also available on the off-road spec XT variants of the V-Strom 650 and the V-Strom 1000. The Suzuki V-Strom range has also been updated for 2017. Some of the updates in the V-Strom 650 include a two-stage traction control system, low rpm assist and the new easy-start system. The 645 cc V-twin engine has also been given a upgrades to dole out more power and torque and gets a new exhaust as well.

The 2017 V-Strom 650 gets a weight reduction of 1 kg and gets a bunch of features such as 12V DC outlet, heated grips and extra luggage options. The V-Strom 1000 on the other hand, gets cornering ABS, which is a first for any Japanese adventure motorcycle. Additionally, the bike also gets a three-mode traction control system, low RPM assist and the easy-start system. The windscreen on the bike has also been tweaked and the body-work gets subtle tweaks as well.

Suzuki does offer the V-Strom 1000 in India but not the V-Strom 650. As far as the GT pack is concerned, there is no confirmation on whether Suzuki will offer the same in India or not. In case they do, expect the prices to go up marginally.
