  • Suzuki's domestic two-wheeler sales accounted for 62,366 units
  • In a slowing market, Suzuki's sales volumes still modest

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) beat the overall auto industry slowdown to post positive sales growth in July 2019. While sales volumes of SMIPL are modest, the company posted impressive growth percentage to beat the ongoing auto industry slowdown. In all, Suzuki Motorcycle India sold 69,236 units in July 2019, as compared to 58,805 units in July 2018, registering a growth of 18 per cent. In the first quarter of the current financial year (April - June, 2019), Suzuki Motorcycle India's sales stood at 2,74,309 units. In the domestic market alone, Suzuki Motorcycles India's sales grew by 17 per cent, from 53,321 units in July 2018 to 62,366 units in July 2019.

"July was an exciting month at Suzuki Motorcycle India as we launched new products and variants in both motorcycle and scooter category, further strengthening our product offerings for Indian consumers. Suzuki Motorcycle India is overwhelmed to receive the huge response and demand for its products that further translates into higher sales growth. We are steering ahead with full throttle to add more customers to the Suzuki family," said Devashish Handa, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited.
