Speaking to carandbike, Markus Mueller-Zambre, Head of Region (Asia, China, Pacific & Africa), BMW Motorrad shared that BMW Motorrad India is heading for a record year in sales for 2022, expected to clock sales of around 7,000 units by the end of the calendar year.

In November 2022, total vehicle sales stood at 15,58,145 units, while passenger vehicle sales reached 2,76,231 units.

The festive and wedding season in India helped boost the country's total retail vehicles sales by 26% in November from a year ago.

Cumulative industry sales stood at 23,80,465 units, with FADA calling it the industry’s best figures with March 2020 being an exception.

In November 2022, Joy e-Bike sold 7,123 units, its highest monthly sales ever. Compared to the 3,290 electric two-wheelers sold during the same month in 2021, the company saw over two-fold year-on-year growth of 116 per cent last month.

The two-wheeler manufacturer reported cumulative sales of 79, 359 units in the month.
