Honda Cars India has released its monthly sales numbers for January 2021. Last month, the company sold 11,310 vehicles in India, registering a 114 per cent growth compared to 5,299 units sold a year ago, in January 2020.

Suzuki Motorcycle India sales stood at 57,004 units in the domestic market in January 2021, registering a 2 per cent growth year-on-year. Exports, on the other hand, stood at 7865 units last month, witnessing a 19.38 per cent drop.

Last month, MG Motor India sold a total of 3,602 units recording a growth of 15 per cent against the same month last year.

Tata Motors has recorded an increase of 28 per cent in its overall domestic sales (PV + CV business) selling 57,742 units when compared to 45,242 units sold a year ago.

The first month of 2021 is already over and it has been a somewhat of a flat month for OEMs. Royal Enfield posted a growth of five per cent in its domestic sales for India in January 2021.

TVS reported overall two-wheeler sales of 294,596 units recording a growth of 34 per cent over 220,439 units in the same month a year ago.

The home-grown automaker, Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector has announced registering 50 per cent Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) growth in domestic volumes, in January 2021. Last month, the company's total tractor sales, in India, stood at 33,562 units, as compared to 22,329 units sold a year ago, in January 2020.

Ashok Leyland's total sales stood at 13,126 vehicles for January 2021, which is a good 11 per cent Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) growth as compared to the 11,850 units sold in January 2020.
