Royal Enfield Sales Zoom 52 per Cent in March

Royal Enfield continues 2016 with a strong sales performance, posting sales of 51,320 motorcycles in combined domestic sales and exports in March 2016. Overall, Royal Enfield sales grew by a whopping 52 per cent from 33,679 motorcycles sold in March 2015.

    Royal Enfield continues 2016 with a strong sales performance, posting sales of 51,320 motorcycles in combined domestic sales and exports in March 2016. Overall, Royal Enfield sales grew by a whopping 52 per cent from 33,679 motorcycles sold in March 2015.

    In domestic sales alone, Royal Enfield sold over 50,000 motorcycles, led by sales of the Classic 350. Overall exports grew by 53 per cent to 1261 units in March 2016 from 825 units sold a year ago. In the period of January 2015 - March 2016, the company again posted overall growth of 52 per cent, selling over 6 lakh motorcycles. Exports during the same period also posted a 37 per cent growth with 11,705 motorcycles.

    Royal Enfield also launched their first new product in quite a few years in March 2016, the purpose-built adventure tourer Himalayan. The RE Himalayan is powered by a new LS410 engine, and not only creates and grows a new segment offering an option for adventure, but also offers a non-extreme, and more accessible form of adventure touring in India.
