Royal Enfield celebrated World Motorcycle Day this year by organising rides having a social message across six cities in India which were Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai. In Delhi, the company organised a 'Cleanliness Ride' which resonates with the Indian government's 'Swachch Bharat' programme. The idea was to spread awareness about cleanliness and its benefits in the cities the 'World Motorcycle Day' rides were organised. This isn't the first time that Royal Enfield has organised rides with social themes.

The city of Delhi generates about 10,000 metric tonnes of waste every day and 10 per cent of it ends up on the roads of the city in the form of plastic waste such as bottles, packets, cigarette packets and so on. In a bid to spread awareness about cleanliness and its benefits, more than 210 riders participated in the ride. More than 210 Royal Enfield riders rode from across Delhi and helped clean up a part of Connaught Place, one of Delhi's iconic land marks and market place. The riders ended up collecting nearly 75 kg of garbage and plastic waste. Royal Enfield says that the ride was a reminder for citizens to keep cities and the country clean.

The next ride Royal Enfield is coming up with is the Himalayan Odyssey, which will be held in July 2019. Apart from that, Royal Enfield organises many rides and festivals around the year such as Royal Enfield Rider Mania and so on. The company is also gearing up to launch BS VI compliant models, some of which have already been spied testing in India.
