Renault India Begins Exporting Kiger Subcompact SUV To Nepal

Renault India has announced that it has begun exports of its Kiger subcompact SUV to Nepal. In fact, Renault has already despatched the first batch of 122 units to Nepal. The Renault Kiger will be offered in Nepal through Renault's distributor - Advanced Automobiles Pvt. Ltd, part of Vaishal Group which is one of the largest business groups in Nepal. Renault has decent coverage in Nepal, with 15 sales and 13 service outlets. Renault plans to export the Kiger to other SAARC countries in the near future.

The Kiger has proven to be a decent success in India and Renault believes it has potential to do well in Nepal as well. The Kiger gets two petrol engine options - a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated motor and a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a CVT transmission and an AMT gearbox. Renault offers the Kiger SUV in four trims - RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ.
