The 2021 Tata Tiago NRG Facelift is based on the higher trims of the Tiago hatchback

Pros

  1. The car takes design cues from the existing Tiago facelift. It comes with more rugged styling, new 15-inch dual-tone alloys, underbody cladding and NRG badging.
  2. For safety, it gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD, CSC, puncture repair kit, follow-me-home headlamps, front fog lamps, rear camera with dynamic guidelines, and more.
  3. The Tiago NRG facelift is powered by the company's tried and tested 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine with a choice of manual and AMT options.
  4. Dimension-wise, the car is longer and taller than the Tiago facelift by 37 mm and 2 mm, respectively. In fact, it offers a ground clearance of 181 mm, which is marginally higher than the 170 mm on the Tiago.
  5. Prices for the Tata Tiago NRG starts from Rs. 6.57 lakh for manual variant, going up to Rs. 7.09 lakh for the AMT version.

Cons

  1. No diesel engine on offer. If had been offered along with an oil burner, we think it would have been a more appealing option for customers. Thus, it is a big miss here.
  2. There's also no turbo petrol engine on the Tiago NRG facelift. While the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol is a refined motor, a punchier turbo petrol would have made for an interesting deal.
  3. Tata Motors offers the Tiago NRG facelift in just two variants, and they are based on the top-end trim of the Tiago hatchback.
  4. The car comes equipped with plenty of safety features. However, it misses out on a 3-point seat belt for all passengers and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
  5. The car is offered in just four colour options. We think a few more options could have been better.
