Tata Motors launched the Tiago NRG facelift in India a few months ago. The updated model gets all the goodies from the Tiago hatchback and features a few cosmetic upgrades for a more rugged appeal. The car is available in both manual and AMT options, with prices starting at Rs. 6.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Exterior upgrades include silver skid plates, body cladding, roof rails and dual-tone wheels. Here are the top five pros and cons of the Tata Tiago NRG facelift to check out before buying it.

Pros
- The car takes design cues from the existing Tiago facelift. It comes with more rugged styling, new 15-inch dual-tone alloys, underbody cladding and NRG badging.
- For safety, it gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD, CSC, puncture repair kit, follow-me-home headlamps, front fog lamps, rear camera with dynamic guidelines, and more.
- The Tiago NRG facelift is powered by the company's tried and tested 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine with a choice of manual and AMT options.
- Dimension-wise, the car is longer and taller than the Tiago facelift by 37 mm and 2 mm, respectively. In fact, it offers a ground clearance of 181 mm, which is marginally higher than the 170 mm on the Tiago.
- Prices for the Tata Tiago NRG starts from Rs. 6.57 lakh for manual variant, going up to Rs. 7.09 lakh for the AMT version.
Cons
- No diesel engine on offer. If had been offered along with an oil burner, we think it would have been a more appealing option for customers. Thus, it is a big miss here.
- There's also no turbo petrol engine on the Tiago NRG facelift. While the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol is a refined motor, a punchier turbo petrol would have made for an interesting deal.
- Tata Motors offers the Tiago NRG facelift in just two variants, and they are based on the top-end trim of the Tiago hatchback.
- The car comes equipped with plenty of safety features. However, it misses out on a 3-point seat belt for all passengers and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
- The car is offered in just four colour options. We think a few more options could have been better.
