Now, this is not the first time that a Peugeot vehicle, or the 2008, for that matter of fact, has been spotted testing in India. The company has been using several models for R&D purposes in India, and this one could very well be yet another model on that list. At the moment Groupe PSA, which has now become a part of Stellantis after its merger with FCA Group, is focusing on the Citroen brand for India. The French carmaker aims to bring 1 SUV to the country every year, and after the C5 Aircross, the next in line is the C3 Aircross.

As for the Peugeot 2008, it comes with a sharp design with a large grille, sleek looking headlamps, sculpted bumpers, body cladding and sharp character lines. The SUV also comes with dual-tone alloy wheels and smoked horizontal taillamps with a triple LED design at each end. The Peugeot 2008 is based on the CMP1 platform - the same modular architecture that is expected to underpin the upcoming locally made Citroen CC21 crossover.
