Citroen Basalt

Citroen Basalt is an SUV coupe, which the brand had previewed in a concept form a few months ago. It is the final model under its C-Cubed program and shares many styling bits with the C3 range on sale in India. The French automaker previously confirmed that the Basalt nameplate will be retained for the production model, unlike its other offerings which carry the C3 prefix. The Basalt gets a Split LED headlamp setup flanked by projector headlamps along with squared-out design elements for the air vents. Moreover, it has a sloping roofline, fresh alloy wheel design, silver faux plates at the front and rear and wrap-around LED taillights. The Basalt's interiors remain under wrap, yet it is anticipated to adopt the same dashboard design as the C3 Aircross. We expect the production Basalt to use the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with either a manual or automatic gearbox used in the C3 Aircross. The SUV-Coupe is expected to be positioned above the C3 Aircross and will lock horns with the upcoming Tata Curvv upon its launch in the Indian market.
