New Generation Renault Duster In the Works?

Renault, the French automaker, is currently working on the next-generation model of its top-selling product - the Duster SUV. First launched in 2010, the Renault Duster aka Dacia Duster has been doing great business for the carmaker across the globe. The new-gen model, expected to be rolled out in 2016-17, will receive several styling and feature updates.
Interestingly, the all-new Renault Duster is likely to be longer than the current model. The current SUV measures 4.31 metres in length, while the next model is expected to be around 4.51 metre in length in order to offer an additional row of seats. The 2+3+2 layout will allow the car to accommodate seven adults with ease. The current model is a 5-seater, though in India one can get 2 additional jumper seats for kids fitted in the car.

The new Duster is also expected to be lighter than the current model to accommodate a modern, Euro 6 compliant engine family. Furthermore, the model will share most of its styling with Renault's concepts shown at different shows across the globe.
It is speculated that the next-gen Duster will share its styling with the Duster Oroch concept showcased at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. Additionally, the SUV will come equipped with several advanced features though it might be not see any changes under the hood. That said, the company might tweak the current engine lineup to offer better fuel efficiency.
