Ahead of its launch later this month, Datsun India has revealed the GO and GO+ facelifted models. The Datsun GO facelift and the GO+ facelift receive cosmetic upgrades to the styling, while the feature list is likely to get a major update as well. For now, Datsun has only revealed the exterior of the updated GO models, with the cabin still under wraps. Pre-bookings, meanwhile, officially commence from today across the company's dealerships for a token amount of Rs. 11,000, while deliveries will begin on the launch day of October 10, 2018.

The overall volumes (Domestic + Export) of the carmaker witnessed a marginal drop of 0.5 per cent at 162,290 units in September 2018 compared to 163,071 units in the same month last year. The sales of the company were down primarily due to a substantial slump in the sales of the company's entry level cars namely the Alto 800, Alto K10 and WagonR. This led to an overall decline of sales by 1.4 per cent in the Passenger Cars segment. Maruti Suzuki sold 115,228 units last month compared to 116,886 units in September 2017.

The Skoda Kodiaq was first introduced in 2016 globally and is the automaker's first-ever full-sized SUV. The model has turned out to be a popular seller for the Czech manufacturer and recently hit a production milestone of 250,000 units. That's a highly impressive number for the SUV and managed to achieve the feat in just 23 months of launch. The 250,000th Skoda Kodiaq was rolled out of the company's Kvasiny facility in Czech Republic last week and is in the SportLine variant. Finished in a shade of meteor grey, the production milestone Kodiaq will head to a buyer in France.

The Indian auto market picks up pace owing to increased demand and companies also use it to their advantage by launching new models and ride the wave in the festive season. Mercedes-Benz India has launched its much anticipated E-Class All-Terrain in India, priced at Rs. 75 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Equipped with the carmaker's signature 4MATIC all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, the E-Class All-Terrain comes with bold crossover-like styling and a bunch of luxury features borrowed from the E-Class sedan.

Audi has already started with the production of the E-Tron in Belgium on September 3, 2018 and the deliveries are expected to start in Europe by the end of this year. The e-Tron has been priced at 79,000 Euros or Rs. 66 lakh approximately in the European market and Audi has confirmed it for India by the end of 2019.

The 4-Series is based on the company's CLAR platform like the 3-Series which helps in keeping the car light in terms of weight and in-line with the upcoming BMW models including the 2019 3-Series which is ready to debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
