The new CLS is now in its third generation and gets an all new body style and the new Mercedes-Ben design language that also features on the likes of the A-Class, new GLE SUV and the AMG GT 4-Door too. The new CLS will be available in India with most likely both a petrol and diesel engine and will eventually also get an AMG version for India like has been the case in the past. Interestingly, even though the CLS accounts for a very small sales volume, all three generations of the car have been sold in India and have been popular with niche buyers.
New Mahindra Seven Seater SUV Called 'Alturas G4'

Mahindra Alturas G4 will be the official name of the UV maker's upcoming full-size SUV, codenamed Y400. Essentially a Mahindra branded version of the SsangYong G4 Rexton, sources in the know have confirmed that the SUV will be called Alturas G4 in India.
Ford India Turns Profitable After Nine Years

Ford Motor's India business has finally posted a profit for the first time in a decade in the fiscal year 2018. The American carmaker's India business has posted a profit of Rs. 526 crore in FY18 against the loss of Rs. 521 crore in the previous year, the company has reported to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Ford India has taken cost reduction measures and has improved its capacity utilization after it made India an export base.
Tata Motors May Sell Its Design Division To TCS

The Indian carmaker is in-talks with the Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) to sell its automobile and aerospace design unit after they couldn't seal the deal with Warburg Pincus early this year. Tata Motors was to gain Rs. 2300 crore from Warburg in return of 43 per cent stake in the design unit, Tata Technology (Tata Tech). The company is ready to give away the design unit citing a fragile business case as the reason and Tata Motors has held its investments in the unit for the time being.
McLaren Senna GTR Confirmed For Production

McLaren will start the dynamic testing of the track-only supercar later this month and that is confirmed with some technical details shared by the working manufacturer. The McLaren Senna GTR will be powered by a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine which is under the hood of every McLaren road and track car except its F1 team. In the Senna GTR, this motor will churn out 813 bhp and 800 Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the McLaren Senna GTR will produce a good 1000 kg of downforce which is enough even by track car standards.

2019 Honda Civic To Be Locally Assembled In India

Honda Cars India has confirmed to carandbike that the 2019 Honda Civic will be launched in India as a locally made product. The plan is to assemble the Civic locallu using completely knocked-down or CKD kits, at the Japanese carmaker's Greater Noida plant near Delhi. The Civic will share the recently launched 2018 Honda CR-V's assembly line at the plant.
