Mahindra has finally announced the name of its highly-anticipated S201 and we now know that it is called the XUV300. The XUV300 will be launched in February 2019. The Volkswagen Group boosted worldwide deliveries from January to November 2018 by 1.8 percent to 9.92 million vehicles. In November, the Volkswagen Group delivered a total of 940,900 vehicles throughout the world, corresponding to a fall of 5.4 percent compared with the prior-year month. The Volkswagen Group brands made further progress with the changeover of their model range to the new WLTP test cycle. In Europe, where the fall in deliveries compared with the prior-year month was lower in November, at 3 percent, than in the two preceding months, 353,000 vehicles were handed over to customers.

In today's day and age where it's more important than ever to recycle and use our resources more efficiently, here's a story that certainly brings some fun and innovation to the whole concept of recycling. In what is otherwise a home in Ladakh, has now been made famous thanks to something very different about its appearance. The home is using the body of a Mahindra Marshall as its roof, not to forget taking a completely different route of recycling auto components. The images were shared by Mahindra & Mahindra Chairman, Anand Mahindra, who took to Twitter to congratulate its creator Soman Wangchuk. The latter is an engineer, innovator and educator, and also the inspiration for the character of Phunsuk Wangdu in the movie 3 Idiots. The recycled roof has been used at one of the houses at Sonam's Himalayan Institute of Alternatives where learners are encouraged to undertake research and creative efforts.

Maruti Suzuki has announced that it is trying to stop the production of a majority of its BSIV models by December 2019. The announcement comes on the wake of BSVI preparations as India's largest carmaker is geared up to ready its entire product line-up to comply with the upcoming emission norms and will be starting with manufacturing of BSVI compliant products thereafter. Only a few BSIV models are likely to continue with production in 2019 and that too for a very limited period of time.

India's first Lamborghini Aventador SVJ has been delivered in Bangalore, Karnataka to a private buyer and this is the third model to be delivered globally. The first Aventador SVJ in India is finished in rich metallic blue shade and looks absolutely stunning with its menacing appeal. Revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance earlier this year, only 600 examples of the SVJ will ever produced. The Aventador is in its final years of production and the SVJ only takes the manufacturer to a completely different of desirability.

The all-new Toyota Camry will be launched in India on January 18, 2019. The new Toyota Camry will be the eight generation of the car globally and the 4thgeneration for the entry level luxury sedan in the country. The all-new Toyota Camry will only be offered with a hybrid powertrain at the time of launch and will go up against the likes of the Skoda Superb and the Honda Accord Hybrid. The Camry will also take on competition from smaller luxury sedans like the Mercedes-Benz CLA and the Audi A3 amongst others. The new Camry Hybrid is expected to cost close to Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom) due to the high 48 per cent GST that is applicable to Hybrid cars in India.
