Mahindra is planning to launch seven SUVs and two EVs by 2026 and has allocated Rs. 6,000 crores for new ICE SUVs and Rs. 3,000 crore for EVs.

Mahindra and Mahindra announced its financial results today and along with it, also gave us an insight into its future plans, particularly the automotive business. The company announced that it plans to launch eight new cars in India by the end of 2026.

The growth in the auto business is primarily attributed to a strong quarterly performance where the sales of SUVs went up by 18 per cent at 1,06,333 units as compared to 90,481 units sold in the same quarter last year.

The new-generation Skoda Octavia is one of the highly anticipated launches for this year, and the car is likely to go on sale in India on June 10, 2021. While there is no official confirmation on the date, an image of a dealer communication sent to a customer has surfaced online, which states the launch date.
