Morris Garages India is currently gearing up to launch its new compact SUV, which will be based on the Internal Combustion Engine or ICE version of the ZS SUV. The new SUV is expected to be launched later this year around the festive season, and the carmaker has now confirmed that it will be a petrol-only SUV.

Semiconductors are used extensively in MG cars like the Hector, ZS EV and Gloster which are high on technology and the carmaker too is having problem in keeping up with demand for these models, because of supply issues.

The upcoming SUV most likely will be named as 'Astor' which is essentially a conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the MG ZS EV.

While the Tata Harrier and Safari XTA+ trim carries over all the bells and whistles from these lower trims, it has also borrowed few features from the top-of-the-line variants.

The XTA+ variant on both SUVs has been positioned below the XZA variant but carries over features like the Hyundai sourced six-speed automatic transmission and panoramic sunroof.

The next-gen Mahindra Scorpio is one of the highly anticipated models from the home-grown utility vehicle manufacturer. Expected to be launched sometime towards the end of 2021 or early 2022, new spy photos of a prototype model, which have surfaced online, reveal that the SUV is likely to come with a 360-degree camera.
