Rumours have been doing the rounds about Adrian Newey's future at the Red Bull Racing F1 team as there have been several talks of him heading over to Ferrari. But Red Bull has moved to put an end to speculation surrounding this by announcing "a new multi-year agreement" with Newey.

It was Red Bull driver, Daniel Ricciardo, who took his maiden F1 victory by passing Nico Rosberg in the final three laps of a thrilling Canadian Grand Prix. Having lead from the start, both the Mercedes cars hit trouble and were down on power.

Fernando Alonso set the fastest time of FP1 for the Canadian Grand Prix as he set a time of 1:17.238s and kept the two Mercedes drivers - Rosberg and Hamilton at bay. This is the third time Alonso has been fastest in the FP1 session and he looked in top form.

Lamborghini has announced that they are working on a new Huracan LP 610-4 Super Trofeo race car. Not much has been said about the car but it has been confirmed that the race car will be developed with the assistance of test drivers Fabio Babini and Adrian Zaugg.

Mitsubishi unveiled the MiEV Evolution III, ahead of its debut at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The car has been designed to compete in the Electric Modified Division and the MiEV Evolution III is being billed as an "evolved version" of last year's MiEV Evolution II.

Nissan has confirmed their plans to compete with Audi, Porsche and Toyota at Le Mans in 2015. Nissan calls it the GT-R LM Nismo and the company will field two race cars that will bear some resemblance to the road-going model.

Just like in FP1, Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time of the final practice session of the Monaco Grand Prix. On supersoft tyres for qualifying simulations, Hamilton set a time of 1:16.758
