Rally-Spec Mahindra Super XUV300 Revealed For INRC 2019
Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the introduction of the new Super XUV300 for the upcoming rally season. The new Mahindra Super XUV300 replaces the Super XUV500 that races for Mahindra Adventure since 2013 and marks a new chapter for the team and the drivers. Mahindra will be fielding both petrol and diesel powered rally-spec versions of the subcompact SUV with the cars set to make their debut in the 2019 Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) set to begin this weekend. Mahindra successfully completed the first shakedown in Coimbatore with the first round of INRC scheduled to kick off in Chennai on June 28, 2019.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton extended his lead in the championship with another win in the 2019 French Grand Prix. The British driver started on pole and absolutely dominated the race at the Paul Ricard circuit, while Valtteri Bottas finished a distant second, 18.056s off his teammate. Making a comeback on the podium was Ferrari's rookie driver Charles Leclerc taking third place after a disappointing few races. Hamilton now leads the championship by 36 points over Bottas, with the French GP being yet another 1-2 finish for Mercedes this season.

Jehan Daruvala was at his dominant best during the French GP and picked up his third consecutive podium finish in Formula 3. The Prema Racing driver started eighth on the grid with the second race following a reverse order, and saw the 21-year-old work his way up to second and finally settle for third. The FIA Formula 3 Championship runs as a support race to F1 and was conducted at the Paul Ricard circuit.

Volkswagen Motorsport India is known for its one-make race championships, having cemented its position in the domestic motorsport arena. Taking a step further in its commitment towards motorsport in the country, the automaker has announced that it will be participating in the Indian Touring Championship (ITC) category as a factory in the 2019 MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Car Racing Championship. VW Motorsport India will be entering the series with its TC4-A ready Vento touring car that has been under development since last year. The ITC factory team will have three race cars that will be piloted by drivers Karthik Tharani, Ishaan Dodhiwala and Dhruv Mohite.
