Maruti Suzuki's Nexa dealerships complete six years of operations, and the automaker has announced that the premium network sold over 1.4 million cars over this period. The Nexa Experience sales network commenced operations in July 2015 and marked a new beginning for Maruti Suzuki in the premium vehicle segment. The first model to be retailed via Nexa was the S-Cross. The company soon added the more affordable Baleno, and Ignis to the stable, along with the Ciaz, and the XL6. The latter was the last new model added to the dealership network in August 2019.

Speaking on the occasion, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India. said, "Driven by innovation, NEXA marks the first initiative by an automobile company to go beyond selling cars and create new formats of car buying experiences. It is our constant endeavour to keep reinventing to deliver the NEXA experience to ever-evolving customers in the field of automobile and lifestyle. With over 380 showrooms across country, NEXA has helped us attract a new set of customers who were earlier not considering a Maruti Suzuki vehicle. The milestone of six years and 1.4million customers is a testimony of the trust that our customers have shown us, over the years."
Maruti Suzuki currently has 380 Nexa outlets in the country spread over 234 cities. The automaker opened the 100th Nexa outlet in March 2016, followed by the 200th outlet in January 2017. Maruti further expanded its reach with Nexa Exclusive service touchpoints, in addition to dealerships over the next couple of years.

Sales too grew exponentially under the Nexa sub-brand. Maruti Suzuki recorded the one million sales mark from the premium outlets in October 2019, four years since the operations began, while the number stood at 1.3 million in February 2021. The company managed to add another 100,000 units over the five months despite the market adversities and low demand caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
While sales remain consistent as ever, the Nexa dealerships haven't seen an all-new model launch in about two years now. Rumours suggest that Maruti Suzuki will bring the Jimny via the Nexa outlets in the future but there has been no confirmation on the same. Meanwhile, the automaker is working on introducing the next-generation Celerio in India later this year, which is likely to arrive around the festive period.
