Though the vehicle might not go on sale in India, as the company sells the Alto 800 and K10 here, there are high possibilities of the company testing some new parts and components on this.
The 2015 JDM-spec Alto is based on a new platform that is claimed to be 60kg lighter than the old one. Powering this vehicle is a 660cc three-cylinder engine that comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed CVT automatic gearbox in the Japanese market.

Unlike the Indian Alto, the JDM Alto has a retro look with square headlamps and unconventional radiator grille. The side profile of the car, however, reminds us of the WagonR.
