Know Some of the Worst Car Names Ever!

You must be a car aficionado, and hence you are reading this article which is about a few car names that have been ranked as the worst that you will find! A vehicle's name should inspire regard and attract buyers or users although every now and then, manufacturers pick names that do the very opposite! The name is sometimes a slip-up from a social perspective or it may sound weird in the local community. While we cannot say why any particular manufacturer chooses such names, we can say this much that sometimes they are too embarrassing to mention!
Daihatsu Charade
The first thing you will need to know about bad cars is that the Japanese car brand Daihatsu comes first on the list. This vehicle came out in the year 1990. However, it was slightly behind the times in terms of its features. What matters most is the name of the car. Charade was something that vehicle buyers did not take to kindly!

Buick LaCrosse
Everyone may have thought that Buick meant the Lacrosse game that was an institution in itself over the years. Be that as it may, LaCrosse has significance, something Frenchmen and Canadians equate to self-satisfaction! Indeed, GM didn't find the name odd until after the launch and the car was then presented as the Allure in Canada. Nonetheless, GM later changed back to the LaCrosse moniker, utilizing another promotional effort to show the Quebecois that they had the game at the top of the priority list and not something clients may consider improper!
Dodge Dart Swinger
Although the name sounds quite fascinating, in reality, the car isn't. You need to know that these cars came out in the year 1960 with a hope to cope with and compete with other vehicles in the market; however, it lacked good features and the swinging association with the name clearly did not help matters.
Studebaker Dictator
Studebaker was one of the soundest US vehicle producers. Indeed, it got everything rolling as a car brand in 1852, delivering its first cars in 1897. In 1927, the company rolled out the poorly named Studebaker Dictator. The automaker picked the term since it felt that this line of cars would dictate the business or segment going forward. However, the car led to a major uproar in the American and European markets when it eventually launched.

Volkswagen Thing
Perhaps one of the oldest vehicles ever built was the Volkswagen Thing Type 181 model, initially classified as a military-grade car with four convertible doors. The moniker wasn't totally unseemly as the Thing opposed simple portrayal and classification. Maybe the absence of a lucid justification for the vehicle is the reason why it was pulled from the US market in 1974, only two years after it was presented. Of course, the name is odd, no matter how you try to look at it!

Mitsubishi Minica Lettuce
One of the longest-running and littlest models created by Mitsubishi was the Minica, a "kei" or city vehicle presented in 1962 and dropped after almost 60 years and 8 generational changes. Accessible as a roadster or regular vehicle, the name did create a sense of awkwardness, especially with its connotations of lettuce. No one wants their car to be a vegetable right? This clearly paved the way towards the ultimate discontinuation of the model.
The Conclusion
Now that you have a list of cars with the worst names ever, it's time to add a few of your own to the list!
