Hero MotoCorp Launches COVID-19 Welfare Package In Haryana

- Hero MotoCorp has been stepping up COVID-19 relief efforts across India
- New efforts launched in association with Raman Kant Munjal Foundation
- The initiative will support women from COVID-19 affected families
Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume, has announced a welfare package for 25 COVID-19 affected families in Rajasthan. The initiative, a part of Hero MotoCorp's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform "Hero We Care," has been launched in association with "Raman Kant Munjal Foundation (RKMF)" in Rewari, Haryana. The initiative aims to support women from the affected families by creating supportive conditions to maintain their livelihood, providing them with essential services such as food security and nutrition, along with education for their children.

Yashendra Singh (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Rewari, in the presence of Bharatendu Kabi, Head, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Communication, Hero MotoCorp, and Ravi Pahuja, Chief Operating Officer, Raman Kant Munjal Foundation launched the project.
"Unprecedented times like these call for the society, businesses, and government to come together and support those most affected. Hero MotoCorp has always done a praiseworthy job in taking the lead to utilize its resources to assist those in need. Humanitarian and benevolent efforts like these go a long way in contributing to the betterment of societies. Corporates like Hero MotoCorp extending their support in Haryana will help us to not only get closer to our goal of bringing society back on its feet, but also strengthen our resolve to respond effectively to any upcoming unforeseen circumstances," said Yashendra Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Rewari.

"With the launch of the unique welfare package program, Hero MotoCorp is now extending immediate support to more than 25 Covid-affected families in the district of Rewari. We will be soon extending this support to more such families across the state of Haryana. Our skill development program is aimed at empowering the women of such families with entrepreneurial skills to make them self-sufficient to be able to earn their livelihood in the long-term. We will also provide a monthly allowance to fulfill the educational and nutritional requirements of children who lost their parents or guardians to Covid-19," said Bharatendu Kabi, Head, CSR & Corporate Communication, Hero MotoCorp.
Under the partnership, Hero MotoCorp and RKMF will support children who have lost one or both of their parents or guardians and women who have lost their spouses due to COVID-19 in the Rewari district of Haryana. Hero MotoCorp has been launching a series of relief initiatives for COVID-19 affected families, in Uttarakhand and Rajasthan as well.
