Hennessey Venom GT's Successor Might Offer 467Km/h
Highlights
It took me quite some time to take in the phenomenon that the Hennessey Venom GT is; I mean a car that can go as fast as 435Km/h is quite something. However, Hennessey is intent on pushing on. Say hello to Hennessey Venom F5, Venom GT's successor in every sense of the word. The kingly Venom F5 takes its name from the most powerful tornado on the Fujita scale. The company says this next-generation Venom's bold, lower-drag shape, additional power and enhanced technology will push it to velocities previously unimagined for a road-legal, series-produced vehicle.

John Hennessey, company president and founder, said, "We are very excited about this next chapter of the Venom, which brings forth an all-new design that is not only a powerful and unique statement that our clients are looking for, but a vehicle that will achieve even higher performance through improved aerodynamics. We learned a great deal during the development of the Venom GT in breaking the 270-mph barrier, and we bring that experience to this new design as we look toward raising the performance bar even higher."
To put it in the company's own words, "With the fury of a Texas tornado, 290 mph is within reach", which means the hypercar might be able to go as fast as 467Km/h. In order to break the Venom GT's 435.31Km/h world record speed, the Venom F5 will need both, an increase in power and a reduction in drag from the clean-sheet carbon-fiber body. However, the company is still working on this upcoming hypercar's next-generation twin-turbo powertrain. All we know is that the turbo size for the longitudinally mounted V8 has been increased, and the fuel system and intercooler capacity have also been upgraded to handle the demands of increased boost.
Though exact performance figures are not available yet, expect the peak power output to be over 1400bhp. Furthermore, Hennessey will also introduce several new technologies, including a single clutch paddle-shift transmission and a GPS-based stability/traction control system.
The Hennessey Venom F5 will be unveiled in 2015, with deliveries set to begin in late 2016. The company stated that it will produce at least 30 units of the hypercar, which will obviously cost more than the Venom GT. Just so you know, the Hennessey Venom GT costs $1.2 million.
