EESL Partners With Apollo Hospitals To Install Public Charging Stations
Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power has announced its first partnership with the private sector. The world's largest public energy services company (ESCO) has signed a 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apollo Hospitals to install public charging stations across its hospitals in India. The aim is to boost e-mobility across the country and the tie-up will help set-up the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Under the MoU, EESL will make the entire upfront investment on specified services and deploy the manpower required for the operation and maintenance of the public charging infrastructure. Meanwhile, Apollo Hospitals will provide the requisite space and power connections for the charging network to EESL.
Okinawa Announces Special Offers Across e-Scooter Range For The Festive Season

Gurugram-based Okinawa Autotech has turned out to be one of the first manufacturers to introduce offers across its product line-up for the upcoming festive season. The offers on the company's range of e-scooters are available from this month and will continue till October 31, 2019. This includes an assured Rs. 1000 discount on the purchase of any electric scooter, along with home appliances for 20 lucky customers. In addition, the electric two-wheeler also has an international trip up for grabs for one lucky customer.

Pune-based start-up Polarity Smart Bikes has released teasers for its range of upcoming electric bikes for the Indian market. The company will be unveiling six electric smart bikes later this month, which the company says at the first-of-its-kind road legal EVs to come with pedal assistance. The bikes have been under development since 2017 and promise to be light in weight. The teaser images also give a glimpse on what to expect from the six prototypes that certainly look to have to futuristic edge in design. Okinawa Cuts Prices Across Electric Scooter Range Post GST Revision

Gurgaon-based Okinawa Autotech has announced a price cut across its electric scooter range post GST rate revision for electric vehicles. The Okinawa range powered by the Lead Acid battery is affordable by Rs. 2,500-4,700, while the models using a Lithium-ion battery get a price cut between Rs. 3,400-8,600. Under the new rates, EVs are charged five per cent GST instead of the older 12 per cent GST, as it was suggested under the Union Budget 2019. The drop in prices clubbed with FAME II subsidy has made the on-road price of the electric scooters much lower than the current asking price. The new prices have been effective since August 1, 2019.
Ather Announces Price Cut Of Up To Rs. 9000 On Electric Scooters Post New GST Rates

The Ather 340 and the 450 get a price reduction by up to Rs. 9000 on the on-road prices. The price drop comes with the change in the GST rates for EVs that now stands at five per cent instead of 12 per cent, applicable from August 1, 2019.
