Ampere Vehicles, the e-mobility business of Greaves Cotton Limited has announced achieving a new sales milestone of 1 lakh electric scooters in India. The 1 lakh milestone comprises both brands, Ampere and ELE, the electric three-wheeler brand of Greaves Cotton.

The company reported consolidated revenue of Rs. 156 crore in the period from April to June 2020.

The Simple One electric scooter, from Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up Simple Energy, will be launched on August 15, 2021.

Ather Energy says the move aims to pave the way to standardise the connector in electric two-wheelers, which will further help in creating standardised charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers.
