Kia's 'ACE' strategy - to produce Autonomous, Connected and ECO/Electric cars - will see the brand adopt connected car technologies across every vehicle segment by 2030. Further to this, the company plans to offer 16 electrified vehicles by 2025. The company continues to invest in the development and commercialization of autonomous driving and eco-friendly vehicles.

The Heritage electrification concept has been led by Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell. Developed around a so-called "cassette" EV powertrain, the objective is to mitigate any future legislation to restrict the use of classic cars by offering a zero emissions conversion.

Tesla Motors said Wednesday it will begin European deliveries of its long-awaited mass-market Model 3 electric car from February. A spokesperson told AFP the first to take delivery would be customers who had reserved their Model 3 starting March 2016 if they confirm their order by January 1.

Sun Mobility and Smart E have entered into a strategic partnership to develop a new EV battery swapping system. The month-long field trials for this solution concluded in Gurugram last week and is claimed to be successfully. The partnership will see SUN Mobility scaling the battery swapping infrastructure in next 3 months to support 500 electric three-wheelers in Phase 1

Electric Vehicle start-up, EV Motors has launched its first public EV charging outlet- PlugNgo in India, assembled at the DLF area in Gurgaon, Haryana. EV Motors has tied up with DLF, Delta Electronics India and ABB India for further development and expansion of the project. It will be spending $ 200 million in next five years and plans to set up 6500 EV charging stations across India. The chargers will be assembled at malls and commercial complexes which will be networked and connected to PlugNgo cloud based integrated software program.

In a major move to fight air pollution, the Delhi government on Tuesday released its draft "Electric Vehicle Policy 2018", which aims to ensure adoption of 25 per cent e-vehicles among new registrations by 2023.
