The Jeep Wrangler PHEV is expected to launch in 2020 and will be one of more than 30 vehicle nameplates with electrified solutions by 2022.

Tesla Inc shareholders are concerned that the electric car maker will have to pay more to fund its growth if it becomes a private company and loses the ability to sell new shares to stock market investors.

Tesla Motors founder Elon Musk said on Monday that in late July he met with Saudi Arabia sovereign fund representatives to discuss the electric carmaker's possible exit from the stock market. Musk said in a statement posted on the Tesla Web site that the Saudi sovereign fund had first contacted him "at the beginning of 2017 to express (their) interest because of the important need to diversify away from oil.

As if the huge Dieselgate scandal wasn't damaging enough for Volkswagen as an automaker, the German car maker might soon find itself embroiled in yet another scandal.
