VW too has seemingly received its share of complaints over similar issues with the Taigun. The company in a recent tweet said, “We are aware that a few customers might have faced AC cooling concerns, especially in the regions where the temperatures are soaring high. There are chances that it takes more time to bring cabin temperature as per the occupant's requirement. Please be assured that our technical teams are working to analyse further the improvements in AC performance in specific operating conditions. In the meantime kindly visit your nearest dealership and they will assist you further.”

The issue seems to be primarily with the AC unit on the 1.0 TSI engine. One user compalined of a similar issue with the Slavia 1.5 TSI with Hollis responding that the company had not received any feedback about a weak AC on the larger hearted models.

Skoda recently updated the Slavia and Kushaq rolling out the models with a new 8.0-inch touchscreen in place of the original 10.1-inch unit. The company said that the move was to prevent any delays in model deliveries owing to the ongoing semiconductor shortages. The Kushaq Monte Carlo though retains the larger touchscreen. The company also rolled out a new 1.0 TSI Style NSR (Non Sunroof) variant of the Kushaq.
