Mahindra XUV300 W6 Diesel

The Mahindra XUV300 is a compact SUV with a premium feel. It offers good safety features, including several airbags and a solid build quality. The engine performance is smooth, and the automatic transmission works well in city conditions. However, the boot space is somewhat limited compared to its competitors, and the price is slightly on the higher side for the segment.

Critical issue of steering hardening and you cant drive it a step ahead or can take turn .(GJ27 EA 1783), After first service of 1000km issue started , when I try to start the car in morning its steering gets super hard ,first I thought it is locked ,but it was not ,than I think I might be not in correct mode "comfort" but that is even not the issue .Service centre is not able to diagnose the issue even after "error snap " given.

Bought a XUV300 W8 variant 3 years back. Deeply disappointed as I admire the Mahindra brand. Looks at time 3 years back were new gen. Now let me get straight to the negatives. Its a half baked car, launched in a hurry. The interiors have poor quality plastic and a just about OK inside. The engine tuning is poor and the car misses in 3rd gear at reasonable speeds. In fact it misses in the 3rd gear at all speeds. Never thought any car can do that. Braking is not at all confidence inspiring. Was recalled by Mahindra twice for God knows what. No clear explanations were given both times. Gear shift is shoddy and you can hardly drive in the 3rd before you need to move to 4th. You have to constantly shift gears and it is tiring to drive, sapping your energy . The deck is half baked, surprising any OEM like this car deck manufacturer can make so many blunders. You switch off the deck and on car restart, it is again ON automatically. The bluetooth phone call audio is very low, you can hardly hear the caller. The audio music volume goes down on reversing the car. The sound quality when in music mode is just about OK. They recalled the car twice and could not upgrade the audio system. I had the car towed to service station as some stone had made its way into the alloy wheel rim amd was refusing to come out. Mahindra should be careful when they put the fantastic Mahindra badge on a car. Having the design firm Pininfarina under its ownership should have done wonders for the XUV 300 but alas you are left with a half baked, well designed car. Drive its competitor Kia Sonet to understand what a good car can be...

The diesel engine is performing well. It has strong performance as well as you can get mileage of 26-28 in while cruising in 70-90 speed range. The boot space is less but it doesnt affect the overall value of car as I use the boot very much rarely. The 2nd row is the best in segment. Safety is top notch. Performance is topnotch.
