Land Rover turned 70 this year. Forged out of the battle scars of the Second World War, the go anywhere off-roader is one of the most iconic cars ever made and with its 70th birthday we celebrated it just as expected - off road. We take a Series 1 Land Rover, still running its original petrol engine from Maneybhangang to Sandkphu - a legendary 30 kilometer trail that climbs over 7,000 feet in just three hours! Once we reached the crest in the classic land rover, we turn around and drive the new Discovery to see how big a difference 70 years of evolution has made.
