The design of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is inspired by the company's flagship motorcycle, the GSX-R1000. The bike has a sharp and aggressive look, with a fairing that resembles that of a sports bike. The headlight is integrated into the fairing, and the taillight is shaped like an upside-down teardrop. The bike also has a digital instrument cluster, which displays all the information you need while riding.

The other notable change is that it is now available in a brand-new colour combination known as Triton Blue/Silver, which comes at a premium of one thousand rupees over the standard price. This livery, which resembles Suzuki's MotoGP bike, was designed to honour the company's 100th anniversary in the business. The only change that has been made is this one; nothing else has been altered. A diamond cut visor, diamond cut alloys, chrome accents on the exhaust, and an LED headlamp are some of the features that come standard on this motorcycle. This is, without a doubt, an appealing design, and the SF 250 does not appear to have been in production for very long at all. Having said that, adding a pair of LED indicators and a visor that was a little bit higher would have unquestionably made the package a lot more useful. We believe that the new livery looks incredible even without any changes, and for an additional Rs. 1000/-, you are able to purchase a bike that looks really unique and distinctive.

The most significant update for the 2020 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 comes in the shape of the bike's ability to comply with BS6 standards. The engine that powers the Gixxer SF 250 is a single-cylinder unit that has a displacement of 249 cc and a single overhead camshaft. It generates 26.5 PS at 9300 rpm and 22.2 Nm of torque at 7300 rpm. In terms of performance, the sports bike with the 250cc engine can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in approximately 9.6 seconds. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 top speed is 150 kmph.

For the BS6 model, the power output has been maintained at its previous level, but the torque has decreased by 0.4 Nm, which is not a significant amount. When driven on public roads, the engine maintains its vivacious and powerful feel. The mid-range is quite robust, and the motor provides a satisfying experience at practically all of the rev range. The fuel injection (FI) works properly, and the throttle response is spot on and very snappy. However, the gearing is a little short for our liking, and as a result, we found that we were reaching the redline more frequently than we had anticipated. In terms of refinement, the bike feels refined over almost the whole rev range, with the exception of the redline. When you approach near to the redline, vibrations start coming in from almost everywhere, which makes the smoothness of the SF overall more difficult to experience. The gearbox has not been modified in any way, and it continues to be the same 6-speed unit that it was before. It has a slippery quality to it, but we didn't really experience any difficulties with it while we were running. On the other hand, the Gixxer may have been improved with several accessories, such as a slipper clutch and liquid cooling, particularly in light of the fact that it was manufactured in modern times.

There is not going to be any adjustment made to the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 in this regard. The suspension is taken care of by a pair of telescopic forks in addition to a mono-shock that is mounted to the swingarm. The rider's lower back, in particular, is subjected to a significant amount of force when going over large bumps because the setup is not particularly comfortable. However, this translates in the Gixxer having good cornering capabilities, and the front end feel on this motorcycle is also quite good. The stability in a straight line is also very good, but the short visor is not able to provide sufficient protection against the wind at greater speeds. Aside from this one drawback, the SF 250 is a respectable commuter, and its smooth riding dynamics make manoeuvring across the city a breeze.

When it comes to the brakes, the stopping strength is impressive, and a dual-channel ABS arrangement comes as standard, so drivers won't have to worry about their safety even in the most precarious of circumstances. The first bit of input is encouraging, but the brakes will require a short period of time to reach operating temperature. Even at slow speeds, the weight of the bike, which tips the scales at 161 kilograms, is not noticeable to the rider at all. Last but not least, the front tyre measures 110 sections, and the rear tyre measures 150 sections, both of which are manufactured by MRF and are identical to the ones found on the Bajaj Dominar. Overall, the Gixxer SF 250 has good riding characteristics; however, the suspension arrangement should be made cushier to provide a more comfortable ride in the city.

The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is categorized as a sports tourer and provides riders with ergonomics that are easy on the body. Because of the clip-on handlebars, the seating position is a little bit more forward leaning than usual, but it still manages to feel very comfortable. It has a bench with two separate seating areas, and the padding is on the firmer side. The broad pillion seat, on the other hand, provides acceptable levels of comfort for the passenger riding along. Because of its seat height of 800 millimetres, the Gixxer SF is well suited for the typical Indian rider, and its ground clearance of 165 millimeters provides sufficient space. When it comes to mirrors, they are expansive and provide a clear picture of what is located behind the person looking in them. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is an accommodating motorbike that can handle a wide variety of tasks, from those associated with commuting in the city to those associated with long-distance touring, with only a few small adjustments required for the latter.
