We have been closely following the latest developments in the Land Rover stable, out of which, one is the Range Rover Sport SVR prototype that debuted at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Land Rover has now released a video of the RR Sport SVR prototype where it is seen grunting and groaning to the sheer aural delight of the spectators. The Rangie is set to go into production in 2015, and the SVR is being billed as the fastest, most powerful and agile Range Rover ever created. It will be built by the company's Special Operations division and feature an aggressive body kit as well as an undisclosed engine.

However, if you listen carefully to the video, the announcer mentions that it is a 5.0-litre V8 engine and it will probably develop around 545bhp and 680Nm torques.

All these figures are finally just numbers and it's really the sound that this Range Rover makes, that makes it so brilliant. It does sound like a predator on the prowl. Did I just say it sounds like a Jaguar?
