Official: Toyota Etios Cross launch in May, bookings open

Toyota India unveiled the much anticipated Etios Cross at the recently concluded 2014 Auto Expo, with a promise to launch the vehicle shortly. The company announced to unveil the prices of the new Etios Cross in May 2014 along with sales launch.
Although, the Etios Cross is based on the regular Liva hatchback, it looks sportier and more rugged than the regular model. The Etios Cross sports a new grille with a guard, fog lamps with turn indicators, unique side cladding and rear defogger with wiper and several other features on the outside.
There are several changes made inside the cabin as well, making it look more up-market than than its hatchback sibling. The piano black shade, sporty seat fabric with white stitch & logo, 2 Din Audio system with bluetooth, USB and Aux-in compatibility and leather wrapped steering wheel with audio control mounted on it are the additional features that the car will come up with.
The new Etios Cross will be made available in three engine options- 1.5-litre petrol, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel, capable of producing 88bhp, 78bhp and 67hp, respectively. The Etios Cross will lock horns with the Volkswagen Cross Polo and upcoming Fiat Avventura.
