Next-Generation Skoda Superb to be Unveiled on 17th February
Highlights
Skoda recently showed the new cabin of the Superb and had revealed the sketch earlier to that, but now there's news that the next generation of the flagship model will be fully revealed on the 17th of February.
The public debut of th car still is at the Geneva Motorshow in March but the new-gen Superb promises to be bigger, lighter and the best Skoda ever. The design is inspired by the VisionC concept and the platform of the Volkswagen Passat B8.
Skoda has added an extra 80mm in the wheelbase which will increase rear passenger legroom which will likely be one of the best in the mid-size segment.
Since it's based on the new Passat, expect the 2015 Superb to come with just about the same array of engines. So, the 2.0-litre TDI diesel and 1.8-litre TSI petrol engines could make their way into the new-gen Superb.
The facelifted version of the car was unveiled in India in February 2014 and was priced at Rs. 18.71 lakhs. The new-gen too will come to India soon and we don't expect a drastic change in the pricing of the product.
