The India Baja 2017, organised by Northern Motorsport from 7-9 April 2017 in Rajasthan, will be a Dakar Challenge event and the winner of the event will get free entry into the Merzouga Rally in Morocco, as well as the big one - the Dakar Rally. The Dakar Challenge along with the Dakar Series serve as feeder races to the Dakar Rally, considered the toughest rally in the world.

An Italian court has allowed motorcycle brand MV Agusta 's new business plant to restructure its debt with creditors and suppliers. The court order in Varese, Italy, may well result in MV Agusta closing its investment deal with the Black Ocean Group, an Anglo-Russian private equity firm. Latest reports speculate that Black Ocean could take over the position held by Mercedes-AMG in MV Agusta. The Italian motorcycle brand has been reeling under financial crisis for some time now, with the firm forced to slash budgets last year in order to continue operating.

Japanese electric motorcycle manufacturer Mugen Shinden has unveiled a new model - the Mugen Shinden Roku - the firm's sixth entry into the Isle of Man TT. "Roku" - Japanese for number "six" is so named to mark Mugen's sixth year in the iconic race. Piloted this year by John McGuinness and Guy Martin, this year's attempt will be to break the 120 mph (193 kmph) at the TT Zero event at the IOMTT.

Having launched three all-new motorcycles, India Kawasaki Motor has also introduced the 2017 Kawasaki Versys 650 in the country with updates for the new year priced at Rs. 6.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 3.64 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The baby Ninja gets new livery - new decals inspired from the larger-displacement Ninja supersport models. The new Ninja 300 also gets a fatter 140 section rear tyre on the 2017 model, compared to the 130 section tyre on the outgoing model, and now meets new emission norms.

India Kawasaki Motor (IKM) has introduced the all-new 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650 in the country priced at Rs. 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Ninja 650 replaces the outgoing model and sports a host of upgrades for better performance and ride-ability.

Bringing its all-new model range to India for 2017, Kawasaki has launched the new Kawasaki Z650 streetfighter middleweight motorcycle in the country as a replacement to the ER-6n. The 2017 Kawasaki Z650 is priced at Rs. 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it around Rs. 25,000 more expensive than the model it replaces.

India Kawasaki Motor has introduced the much awaited 2017 Kawasaki Z900 streetfighter in the country as a replacement to the Z800. The new Z900 pushes the middleweight naked motorcycle in a larger displacement category and is priced at Rs. 9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), around Rs. 1.20 lakh more than the Z800.
