Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster Revealed

Aston Martin has officially unveiled the new V12 Vantage S Roadster. The Vantage S Roadster is billed as the company's fastest and most potent roadster till date. It falls in line with the V12 Vantage S Coupe and gets features like a ventilated hood, black or titanium silver accents and has been kept light, thanks to the use of carbon fibre components.
A look at the front end of the car and you can see that the roadster has an aggressive grille, which is inspired by the CC100 Speedster concept. But I know it's what's under the hood that really matters, so here goes. It gets a 6.0-litre V12 engine that punches out a hefty 565bhp and 620Nm torque. Mated to a 7-speed Sportshift III transmission, the Vantage S Roadster can fly from a standstill to 100Km/h in 4.1 seconds and tops out at 323Km/h.

To achieve this performance, Aston Martin kept the car light and carbon fibre components help in doing exactly that. Then there is the an adaptive damping system, a two-stage anti-lock braking system and a three-stage dynamic stability control system. It also gets carbon ceramic brakes and a Sport mode that alters throttle response, gearshift speed and timing, and exhaust note to tune the character of the car to the driver's requirements.
Marek Reichman, Director of Design, Aston Martin, said, "The new roadster is truly a treat for the senses with, underlying all this, the capacity to deliver one of the most dynamic, exciting and stirring driving experiences in our current range."
